Living Well Through Lent – Cultivating the Fruit of the Spirit in Heart, Soul, Strength and Mind
Tuesdays at 6:30 pm; March 4 – April 15 and Wrap-up on April 29 in the Wesley Room
Lent is a time of introspection and self-reflection, a time to reflect on the core of what it means to live a Christian life during great change and uncertainty. As we cultivate the fruit of the Spirit over these 40 days from Ash Wednesday to Easter, we have a powerful opportunity to make our faith the central compass that guides our lives, helping us to receive and share God’s transformational love.

Ash Wednesday March 5, 4pm-8pm
Ash Wednesday is the beginning of the Lenten season where Christians observe a period of repentance, moderation and give an increased focus on the spiritual disciplines that draw us closer to God (prayer, Scripture, worship, service, etc). Ash Wednesday services bring us the reality of our sinfulness before God and our human mortality. We realize the desperate state we are in, we recognize that both our sin and mortality have been triumphed through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
This year at Cameron UMC, we will journey with Jesus from the Garden of Gethsemane to the tomb where they placed His body. Similar to the last couple of years, this is an event where you move from station to station at your own pace; reading, reflecting, praying. Please mark your calendars and plan to join us for this event.
