  • What is Ecumenical Sunday all about?

On Ecumenical Sunday and during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, Christians echo the message that “we’re all in this together.”

Jesus prayed, “I pray they will be one … so that the world will believe that you sent me.” (John 17:21, CEB)

During the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (Jan. 18-25), United Methodists unite with people of other faiths to take Jesus’ prayer to heart. God put us here together. How do we treat each other? How can we make it work?

In John 17:21, Jesus said a prayer for unity, not just for his disciples then, but also for his disciples now. How can your congregation fulfill Jesus’ call to bring the world together?

    Offertory Prayer
Loving God, bless our differences. No matter our disciplines, practices, logos or symbols, bring us together with one solid purpose: to love one another. Amen.

  • Confirmation Class is Forming

Anyone 12 years of age or older is welcome to participate in this year's confirmation class.  The purpose of confirmation is not a "rite of passage" or a "check-point" on the church to-do list, but the FIRST STEP TOWARD A MATURE FAITH as a disciple of Jesus Christ.  To register or for more information, contact Dawn Gabauer, 632-3461.

  • Prayer for All Victims of Recent Disasters, Both Natural and Man Caused

Loving Lord, we come to you trusting in your mercy and knowing that your steadfast love endures forever. Look with mercy on those who have been harmed or displaced by this disaster. Grant them your strength to meet the days ahead. Allow those who are affected to experience your peace which passes all understanding and new hope in the resurrection. Move in those who are able to give aid, that we may be your hands and heart on the earth. Be with all who offer your assistance; may your Spirit uphold them.  Give us the assurance of your presence even in this time so that we can cling to your promise of hope and life shown to us through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, Amen.

  • Opportunity: Men's Devotional Meeting

Our men's prayer breakfast has moved to Thursdays, 7 a.m., at Dinos Diner. Come join us for devotions and discussion.  Contact Ken Jensen or Pastor Don Hoffman for more information.

  • Opportunity: Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministers are trained to offer a ministry of presence to anyone who would like a loving, Christian companion through life's ups and downs.  We are an extension of Jesus' invitation to "come to him" and let him carry you awhile.  Call a leader, listed in the newsletter, and talk with them.  You will be glad you did.
