Cameron United Methodist Church Memorial Scholarship

Application and Scholarship Guidelines

Primary Considerations:

  • Church Involvement
  • Academic Achievement 
  • Priority To First Time Applicants

Qualifications of Applicants: 

  • Must be accepted by an accredited school.
  • Student must maintain a 2.5 GPA (on 4.0 scale).
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student in said school.

Stipulations:

  • Applicants must submit an official high school transcript or a copy of the Cameron High School Local Scholarship Application obtained through the guidance office (this includes a student release form).
  • If the student has already completed a year or more of study at a post-secondary level, an official college transcript must be submitted.
  • An Applicant Statement must be submitted consisting of approximately one-page in length; describing church participation, desired course of study and goals for the future. 
  • A letter of recommendation from the Pastor of the Cameron United Methodist Church is required.
  • All completed application packets must be received prior to April 1st of the calendar year.
  • Scholarship recipients will be selected at the consideration of the Endowment Committee after all applications have been reviewed.
  • Scholarship monies will be sent directly to the institution of higher education and divided evenly among each semester/trimester.
