Morgan Scott was born and raised in the Cameron United Methodist Church. Morgan went to college in Warrensburg and after receiving her bachelor’s degree she worked in Kansas City at Starlight, Gladstone Chamber of Commerce, and the National WWI Museum. Prior to working at CUMC, she worked over six years as a District Administrative Assistant where she learned about the inner workings of the United Methodist Church. She married Chad Scott and they have two active children. The Scott family enjoys hanging with friends, traveling, and Friday pizza & movie night.
Director of Children's Ministry
Dawn Gabauer
(816)288-0569Dawn Gabauer is the Director of Children’s Ministries at CUMC. Dawn has worked in the medical field as a registered medication technician, restorative therapist, chiropractic office manager and licensed massage therapist, and has extensive experience in meeting and event planning as well. Dawn was previously employed at the Cameron Public Library, creating and implementing fun, interactive, educational programs for children, teens, and adults. No one was more surprised at God’s call to serve this church in this position than she, but to His call, she did answer in November 2014.
Recently, Dawn graduated from the Ministry Leadership Initiative cohort program, allowing her to network with other children’s and youth pastors, and achieve many of the educational goals she has set for herself. Dawn is also active in the Missouri Conference NextGen cohort, the Cameron Optimist Club, Friends of the Library, and Cameron PTSA.
Dawn enjoys working with people of all ages and seeks to be continuously growing in faith, knowledge and leadership. She is a Stephen Minister and leads the congregational care connection team, women's ministry small groups and is active in prayer team and mission team. Originally from Alden, New York, Dawn is married, has two wonderful children and four adorable grandchildren. She and her husband, Tary, moved to Cameron in 2008, excited to put down some roots and establish some great relationships within this community. They enjoy spending time with family and friends, fishing, and working on projects together.
CUMC Director of Music, Ann Goodwin Clark, was raised in the Cameron United Methodist Church and has the privilege of following in her parents footsteps in music ministry at CUMC. She became Director of the Chancel Choir in 2005, following the death of her father, Dave Goodwin, who served as director since 1961. Her mother, Annabelle (AB) Goodwin, served as organist/pianist at CUMC for over 50 years, from 1961-2012.
Ann has an extensive background as a music educator, having been a band director at Gallatin R-5 Schools (3 years), Nevada School District (8 years), Oak Park High School (1 year), Park Hill High School (8 years). Her bands have performed three times at the Missouri Music Educators Association Conference (1987, 1997, 2002) She has served as President of the Missouri Bandmasters Association (2006-2008) and the Missouri Women Band Directors Association. From 1998-2000, she served as Band Vice-President for MMEA. She was the Missouri honoree as one of the 50 'Directors Who Make A Difference' by School Band Magazine in 2003. In 2004, she was named a Laureate of the 'Legion of Honor' by the John Philip Sousa Foundation. Other professional memberships include NAfME, MMEA, MBA and Phi Beta Mu honorary band fraternity.
A flutist with the Cameron Municipal Band for many years, Ann was named Conductor of the CMB in 2013. Ann is married to Dennis Clark and mother to David, their son and step-mother to Dennis' children, Jessica, who works at CLINCO Sheltered Workshop and Joe, Colorado Springs, CO who is father to Mathias, John Michael, and Jaeya and married to Shalamar Clark.
Nursery Coordinator
Linda Morris
(816)724-4619Linda is the nursery coordinator for Cameron United Methodist Church. She has a degree in Social Work from the University of Northern Iowa and a degree in Occupational Therapy from Creighton University. Linda's past work experience includes managing group homes for children with disabilities and 10 years as an Occupational Therapist for the Cameron R-1 School District. She is currently a substitute teacher for the Cameron School District. Linda has also been with the 2-3 year old Wednesday Night Live! class since 2007. She and her husband, Russell, have one daughter, Kristi.
