Fall Fun Fest

In the afternoon, from 3:00 - 6:00 pm, the church is offering a fellowship opportunity for all ages. A Fall Fun Fest! We hope to see many of our church friends, even those that only worship online or haven't been to church for a while. We will have Hay Rides, a Bounce House, Classic Cake Walk, and get the competitive spirit going playing games in the churchyard from 3:00-5:00 pm, then food from 5:00-6:00 pm. Admission is free. We can't wait to see you there.
Fall Small Groups Are Starting

Bible Study: Join in and study a variety of topics and books of the Bible. The only book needed is your Bible (if you don’t have one, the church can provide you with one).
Everyone is welcome to attend this Bible study facilitated by Mike Mulford. The Thursday morning Bible Study will be held at the church in the Wesley Gathering Room from 10:00-11:00 AM. The first class starts September 21 and will begin in the Gospel of John. Come when you can. Come as you are.
Women’s Small Group: Join this six-week study looking at how sometimes we’re afraid to ask God questions, but recognizing the truth is that questions can be holy guides leading us to truth and intimacy with God. Participants will need to purchase “Untangling Faith, Reclaiming Hope in the Questions Jesus Asked,” by Amberly Neese and please read Week 1 prior to the first class. Starting October 4, please join this group on Wednesday nights at the Church from 6:00-7:00PM as Dawn Gabauer and Danna Puls help facilitate this conversation.
If you are interested in joining this group, please call the church office at 816-632-3461 or click here to sign up.
#BEUMC: The United Methodist Church is founded on a Wesleyan theology of grace, anchored in Scripture, and based in the life and teachings of Jesus Christ and the continuing movement of the Holy Spirit. By joining this 4-week study you will learn more about what unites us as United Methodists and what we are working towards, together. These elements will help you consider the unique ways you live out your faith and why you choose to #BeUMC. This Wednesday night class will beheld at the Church from 6:00-7:00PM and facilitated by Morgan Scott.
If you are interested in joining this group, please call the church office at 816-632-3461 or click here to sign up.

Grief can take many forms and look many ways and affect you when you least expect it. When we are grieving, whatever stage of grief we are in, we need the support and compassion of our fellow human beings. This book study and group will support will offer basic principles to learn and actions to take to help yourself engage with your grief and create momentum toward healing. This12-week small group will start November 8, meet on Monday evenings from5:30-7:00PM at the church in the Wesley Gathering Room and will be facilitated by Pat Dunbar. Participants will need to purchase “Understanding Your Grief: Ten Essential Touchstones for Finding Hope and Healing Your Heart” book and “The Understanding Your Grief Journal: Exploring the Ten Essential Touchstones Journal”, both by Alan D. Wolfelt, PH.D.
